Three times in a row: count your passes and compare them

With the “↻” button in the player, an exercise or piece runs 1×, 3× or in a loop. The count-in plays once, and the result lists the values of all passes side by side.

A passage rarely works the first time. Until now that meant playing, looking at the result, pressing “Again” and sitting through the count-in once more. Now you can choose before you start how many times an exercise or piece runs in a row.

How to choose

The “↻” button in the bar at the bottom offers three options:

  • 1×: once through, then the result
  • 3×: three passes in a row
  • Loop: keeps going until you press Stop

Every exercise and every piece starts at 1×. If you choose something else, Klavissimo remembers it for that exercise or piece. If the length of a passage doesn’t fit the metronome’s grid, it stays at 1×.

What happens while you play

The count-in only plays before the first pass. After that you carry straight on in time, and so does the accompaniment. The Stop button shows which pass is running, for example “2/3”. Stop ends all passes. Every finished pass is scored and saved like a run of its own. A pass with no note at all doesn’t count, and the loop stops by itself after two such passes.

What you see afterwards

From two passes on, a line under the result lists all values, for example “Passes 82 → 91 → 95”. The score at the top is the last finished pass. In the children’s view the result page doesn’t show this line; it keeps to the ♩.

In “Note by note” the line appears right in the player, in the children’s view too. It counts how many spots you hit on the first try, for example “Passes 6 of 10 → 8 of 10”.

Where the choice isn’t available

Ensemble parts that aren’t scored, the introduction and “Follow your playing” don’t offer the choice. With “Real piano”, it applies to “Keep the tempo”: nothing is scored there, the ♩ cards come once at the end, and the loop keeps going until you press “Done”.
