In the player ⚙ under "Preset" you pick between two ready-tuned bundles of settings — "Play" and "Learn" — or set each control individually.
The “Play” preset sets several controls at once — “Learn” turns the same controls stricter.
Play
"Play" shows the keyboard and the target keys, gives live feedback while practising, starts in "Note by note" mode by default with gentle hints, and doesn't score the pedal strictly.
Learn
"Learn" hides the keyboard and target keys, turns live feedback off, starts in "In tempo" mode with strict hints, and scores the pedal strictly — closer to a real exam situation.
Overridable one at a time
Change a single control by hand — the keyboard display, say — and the preset display jumps to "Custom": your individual choice sticks, without a preset resetting it.
Where the individual controls live
Keyboard display, "Score pedal strictly" and the hint level (gentle/medium/strict for "Note by note") sit right in the player ⚙; target keys and live feedback live behind "Advanced". Choose the mode itself — "In tempo" or "Note by note" — via the arrow on the start button.
Good to know:
A preset is just a convenient starting point, not a fixed profile — you can mix controls from "Play" and "Learn" freely, without anything being locked.
