For teachers — the classroom workflow

This guide walks you through the whole classroom routine with Klavissimo in one go: from turning on class mode to privacy. Every step links to the matching article with all the details.

1

Turning on class mode

The very first time you set up, Klavissimo asks "Who's setting up Klavissimo here?" — choose "I teach" and you land straight in the teacher area, deliberately separate from the children's interface.

2

Getting a class licence

Everything local about the teacher area stays free forever — a PIN-protected class, homework, recital notes. Only ONE thing is paid: connecting several devices through the server, invoiced.

3

Connecting children

An invitation — by link or code — brings the children into your class. Before the first sync, Klavissimo shows the child their own consent page; only tapping "Allow connection" ever sends anything.

4

Homework & keeping track

For children on the same device, you set homework device-locally, with no server. If a child is connected remotely, a single practice spot takes its place instead, arriving on their next sync.

Recitals & the year in review

A recital note assesses a piece played live and counts like a score — the year in review tells the whole story at the end of the school year, with a printable certificate.

What stays on the device — privacy

You see bundled practice data — practice days, scores, sticking points —, never sheet music, never recordings, and never a student's imported piece under its real name.

What stays on the device

Good to know:

Only connecting several devices is paid, deliberately kept well under school-budget thresholds — everything local about the teacher area stays free forever.
