Sharing a practice assignment by link

A practice assignment is a single, free link (or QR code) that hands on exactly the excerpt you've set up in a built-in piece or exercise — bars, hand or voice, tempo, optionally a goal. It needs no account, no class and no licence.

1

Creating a practice link

Open a built-in piece or exercise in the player and set the excerpt as usual — bars, hand/voice, tempo. In the player's header bar (next to ⚙), the button "Create practice link" then appears: it opens a preview that shows exactly what the recipient will see, plus an optional goal and practice mode. From there you share directly (where available), copy the link, or show the QR code. Your own imported pieces can't be shared — only built-in material.

2

What happens when it's opened

The link opens an assignment card without any account — piece/exercise, bar range, hand or voice, tempo and optionally the goal. Only tapping "Start this assignment now" takes over these values — all of them, not just the ones that differ — and opens the player directly with exactly this excerpt.

Your data:

"The free practice link does not connect to your teacher." It sends nothing back, remembers nothing and creates no connection — existing class or family connections on the same device keep running unaffected.

3

Practice link or class connection — which fits?

The practice link is a one-off, stateless hand-off: no delivery to a specific device, no due date or reminder, no assignment list, no channel back — and no parental consent needed, because no connection is created at all. The class connection is the counterpart for ongoing use: up to five homework items with a due date reach the connected child, plus the existing progress overview — this time with parental consent, because a real connection is created.
