Turning it on and off
The "AI tutor" card on /profil carries a single switch, default off. The very first time you turn it on, a dialog explicitly asks for consent — with the exact wording of what gets sent and what never does. Right underneath it says, briefly: "The tutor gets only scores & bar statistics — never sheet music, never recordings."
Free feedback per month
Without Plus, you get 10 AI replies per profile per month, free of charge. Under every reply it says "{n} of 10 AI replies left this month"; once the allowance runs out, it instead reads "I've seen enough for this month — Plus continues right away, or free again next month."

Tutor tips
A separate "Tips from the tutor" card turns short hints at new spots in the app on or off — every tip only ever appears once. "Restart tips" brings them back from the start whenever you like.
Writing freely (chat)
"Your tutor" in the header (or the A key) opens a panel with suggested questions as buttons — those work for every profile. A free text field for writing is additionally available only to adult profiles with Klavissimo Plus or their own access (BYO); without either, it reads "Free chat is part of Klavissimo Plus."

Redeeming a Plus key
In the field under "Klavissimo Plus" you enter a key in the format "KLV1-…" and confirm with "Check key" — if it fits, the card shows "Klavissimo Plus active · valid until …". This works in the browser on klavissimo.app; the iOS app (iPhone and iPad) does not offer Klavissimo Plus. A redeemed key applies to the whole device, not just the currently active profile.
Your own AI access (BYO)
"Your own AI access (for advanced users)" expands base URL, API key and model — for an OpenAI-compatible provider of your choice. Your key stays local, calls run straight from this device to the provider, without going via Klavissimo — unless you've set up device sync (Plus): then it travels along, encrypted, to your other paired devices.
Good to know:
Turning it on and off is reserved for adult profiles — just like the microphone (M7), a child profile sees no switch there, only a friendly note that a grown-up decides. A tutor that's already turned on stays fully usable for the child profile, though. Free chat, on the other hand, stays locked too: it's reserved for adult profiles, a child profile's text field always just shows "Ask me using the buttons!".
Good to know:
You get a Plus key via klavissimo.app, outside the app — you redeem and use it there, in the browser. The iOS app (iPhone and iPad) does not offer Klavissimo Plus; everything it does is free.

In this app every profile gets ten AI tutor replies a month — the free monthly allowance —, and the suggested questions are available at any time. Free chat and device sync are not part of this version; they belong to Klavissimo Plus, which this app does not offer.
