Creating a backup
Under Settings → Data & Privacy → "Backup", "↓ Back up" packs all of this device's profiles into a single file — pieces, plans, results, sounds, everything.
Your data:
Word for word under the backup: "The file also contains your access data (e.g. class connection) — keep it safe." So sharing the file means sharing more than just practice results.
Restoring on the new device
"↑ Restore" opens that same backup file on the new device. Before applying it, a dialog shows honest numbers — how many entries, how many pieces, from which backup and date — and afterwards replaces everything on this device. It doesn't automatically bring back a device sync you'd set up, either — the device identity never travels along with the backup file, so you simply pair the restored device again (more in the device sync article).

The email route — for the class connection only
Via /wiederherstellen, a voluntarily linked email address (a code by mail, double opt-in) brings back only the class connection, not your practice data — levels, practice journal and your own pieces only come back via the backup file. The old device is automatically logged out in the process: a profile only ever lives on one device at a time. That's specific to this email route — if you've set up device sync instead, there's no contradiction: sync deliberately keeps the same practice state in step across several of your own paired devices, without logging any of them out.

Farewell — take it with you, then delete
Under "Delete everything", the path first leads through a take-it-with-you view (your own pieces as MusicXML, your history as CSV, the complete backup — all optional) and only then to the actual deletion. Deletion itself requires typing "DELETE" to confirm and is permanent.

Deleting removes everything from this device for good — there's no copy on a server that could be left behind, unless you've set up device sync: then an encrypted container lives there that only your own devices can open, and you can remove it too any time — including when deleting.
