Profiles: creating, switching, child & adult

Several people at the same piano? Everyone gets their own profile — with their own levels, their own daily plan and their own settings. Switching takes seconds, and nothing gets mixed up.

1

Quick switching via the avatar

Your initial-letter avatar at the top right opens the quick switcher: the active person up top marked "ACTIVE", every other profile below with "Switch ›" — one click reloads the app briefly and switches over. At the bottom, "My profile" and "+ New profile" lead to /profil.

2

Creating a new profile

On /profil ("Who's playing today?") the dashed "+" card "New profile" opens a name field — "A name is enough — let's go". A name is all it takes; "Create" only activates once you've typed something.

3

Renaming, resetting, deleting

"Rename" asks for a new name, "Reset" wipes a profile completely after confirming — both any time, right on that profile's card. "Delete" removes a profile for good; only the device's very first, default profile can't be deleted, only reset.

4

What child and adult actually change

On /profil, the "Tone of voice" card sets the tone per profile — "Child" or "Adult", right next to the note "Determines only the tone of texts & tutor — never the tasks." A child profile sees ♩ instead of percentage bars, a practice diary instead of a diary, and its own celebrations — the exercises, the placement and the scoring behind it stay exactly the same for both tones.

5

Changeable any time — not just at the start

Tone of voice isn't only asked once during setup: the same "Child"/"Adult" switch on /profil works just as well later, whether a child grows older or an adult profile turns out to prefer the playful tone.

For parents

Several profiles share the same browser — there's no password protection between them. That works well for a shared family piano; if you'd like stricter separation, separate devices or browser profiles work better.

Your data:

Every profile lives entirely on this device — no account, no password, no server managing the profiles. Taking it to another device only happens actively via the backup in settings — or automatically via device sync (Plus): it keeps your profiles up to date across your own, paired devices.
