The introduction is called "First steps" and consists of six small steps — from the first key press to your own part in a short piece. It is the route for anyone who has never played, and it comes before the placement test: a few notes first, then the question about your level.
Where to find it
The assistant offers it during setup as "▶ Play your first notes"; later you can reach it any time at /einfuehrung. The overview shows the step that is up next at the top and all six as a list below. The order is a recommendation, not an exam schedule — every step can be opened directly.
Some steps start with an explanation screen
Before the "Press and release" exercise there is a screen that explains the task calmly. It says "No music starts yet." in so many words — that screen is for reading, not for playing, and only "Go to the exercise" opens the exercise itself. Not every step has such a screen; today it is exactly this one.
Nothing is scored here
A run ends by saying that the run has ended — and nothing else: no points, no grade, no comparison with last time. A step counts as played as soon as you have struck at least one key yourself — on the on-screen keyboard, the computer keyboard or a connected piano. If you start a run and stop without a single note, nothing went wrong: nothing is claimed either.
Repeat, stop, come back
After every run, "Again", "Continue" and "Back to overview" sit side by side. You can repeat any step as often as you like. In the list, steps you have played carry a ♩; the card at the top remembers where you were, so you carry on there next time.
When all six steps are played
The overview then offers the choice: "Check my level" leads to the placement test, "Just look around" to the home page. In a child profile the same two ways are called "Show what I can do" and "Show me more"; they do exactly the same thing. "▶ Once more" stays next to them — the six steps are not used up. If you take either way, Klavissimo lets go of the remembered place; the ♩ next to the steps you played stay.
Good to know:
The introduction is not the same as the normal exercises: those are scored and live on the learning path and in the daily plan, and the way there leads through the placement test. "Discover notes" is a third thing again — a short round about reading notes, independent of both. The introduction takes you to none of those places automatically; at the end it only shows where things continue.

Which steps you have played and where you last were stays local on this device, separately per profile. None of it goes to a server, and there is no score that would be stored anywhere.
