Learning on your own — your path

Learning on your own — no class, no family connection? This guide walks you through the whole path in one go: from creating your profile to backing up to a second device. Every step links to the matching article with all the details.

1

Create your profile

A short chat with the assistant is all it takes — no account, no email address, no password.

2

Connect your piano

Connect your E-piano or keyboard via USB — Klavissimo then hears every key, live. No instrument handy? The on-screen keyboard works fine for trying it out.

3

Your first practice session

After the placement test, your first exercise waits in the player — let it play through for you, then start with "Note by note", the most relaxed of the three modes.

4

Get to know the three modes

Choose "In tempo" or "Note by note" via the arrow on the start button; "Play through only" sits alongside as its own button.

5

Turning the AI tutor on or off

If you'd like feedback on your playing, turn the AI tutor on at /profil — off by default, and Klavissimo explicitly asks for your consent the very first time.

6

Backup & a second device

Without an account, everything only lives on this device — a backup brings your state to a new device, and device sync (Plus) automatically keeps several of your own devices in the same state.

Your data:

The AI tutor only gets your playing statistics — scores, bar statistics, exercise names — never your sheet music, never recordings, never your name.
