Your first practice session

After the placement test, your first exercise is waiting in the player — sheet music with a cursor, plus "Play through only" so you can hear how it should sound first.

1

Let it play through

Tap "Play through only" — Klavissimo plays the exercise once from start to end while the cursor moves along. No pressure, just listening: you don't touch the keys yet.

The start button says what it does; the ▾ next to it switches the mode. "Play through only" remains available separately.

2

Start Note by note

Open the arrow on the start button, choose "Note by note" and tap "Start Note by note". The player waits at every note for your key press — your tempo counts, not the clock.

3

Use the count-in

Switch to "In tempo" later on and the count-in counts you in: the accented click is beat one — you play the first note right on it.

4

Enjoy your first celebration

After your very first scored session, a small celebration card appears over the result — "Your first note!" — with a quote from the tutor and a suggestion for what comes next.

Good to know:

Choose "Note by note" or "In tempo" via the arrow on the start button; "Play through only" stays available as its own button alongside.

Good to know:

Chosen "Real piano" in your profile? Then you practise with "Keep the tempo" or "Follow your playing" without scoring; after the run, the tutor asks with three ♩ cards how it went. With "No piano yet", the on-screen keyboard counts like a digital piano, scoring and celebration included.
