Discover notes

The "Note explorer" is a short learning round that connects written notes, note names and piano keys. You find it on the learning path under "Discover notes" — whether or not you have completed placement.

1

Start a round from the learning path

Open the learning path, choose "Start round →" and then "Let’s begin". On your first visit, Klavissimo walks through middle C once; the six base questions follow.

2

Practise three connections

Every round contains two of each question type: name a written note, choose the right written note for a name, and find a written note on the keyboard. The first stage uses six different natural notes from C4 to B4 — white keys only.

3

Use choices, keys and feedback

For choice questions, tap or click one of three answers. For "Where is this note on the keyboard?", play the on-screen keyboard or a connected digital piano. "Continue" moves on after a correct answer. After a wrong answer, "Try again" repeats the same question; "Hint" first points to line or space, then reveals the exact position. You do not need an instrument for the round.

4

Choose what happens after the base round

After the six base questions, the round is complete. "Finish for today" takes you straight to the summary. "Keep exploring" starts exactly three more questions: useful repeats for notes that needed a try or hint, or your first short note sequences when every answer was direct.

5

Read short note sequences from left to right

A sequence contains two or three notes. Choose their names or play them one after another on the keyboard. The display only counts notes already entered; "Clear input" starts the sequence again. Notes played together do not count as a sequence — the prompt then says "Play the notes one after another."

6

Finish the round

The final view separates "Recognised in this round" from "Review once more". After the optional next step, it also names what you repeated or read as a sequence. "Another round" reshuffles the questions; "Back to learning path" leaves the round.

Your data:

Answers, mistakes and the round result are not stored. Per profile, Klavissimo only remembers whether the guided example has already been shown, so it does not repeat before every round.

Good to know:

The Note explorer is practice, not placement: it changes neither your level nor your daily plan. The final summary only describes this one round.
